Diagnostic MSK ultrasound is a specialised imaging technique that uses high frequency ultrasound to visualise the muscles, tendons and other soft tissues in the body. It is useful for diagnosing tendon tears such as rotator cuff injuries in the shoulder. We can diagnose ligament sprains such as medial collateral ligament (MCL) injuries in the knee. It is also great for running injuries such as Achilles tendinopathy and knee pain.
A full report will be written for you to pass on to your GP or Physio helping you, or we can integrate it as part of our assessment and treatment plan with you.
Sharon has graduated from the SMUG ultrasound group this year (2026) and is happy to help you with your injuries.
